Instructors:
Marsha
P. Collins, SPHR, is
a HR consultant and specialist in workplace learning and performance,
with 30 years of experience in Human Resources. She travels throughout
the United States providing in house training for public and private
organizations, and specializes in helping organizations implement effective
performance management systems through training. Mrs. Collins received
her SPHR certification in 1992, and is a regular instructor for the
SHRM certification course offered twice a year through UK's Gatton Business
Management Center. She has served as President of the American Society
for Training and Development, Bluegrass Chapter, as well as President
of the Kentucky College and University Personnel Association. She was
honored nationally for her leadership and contributions in the field
of employee career development by the American Society for Training
and Development.
Wally Skiba, SPHR, is
the Compensation and Benefits Manager for Eastern Kentucky University
(EKU)in Richmond, KY.
Nancy Skiba, SPHR,
is currently Human Resources Manager for OSRAM SYLVANIA in Versailles,
Kentucky. She began her career in Human Resources in 1973 at the Sylvania
manufacturing facility in Winchester. She later gained international
human resources experience while in Winchester when she was given responsibility
for the Sylvania plants in Juarez, Mexico and Fajardo, Puerto Rico.
In 1995, she transferred to Versailles where she had responsibility
for both the Lamp and Glass plants. Ms. Skiba has a wide range of knowledge
in labor relations in the union and non-union sectors plus training
and experience in union avoidance. Her generalist experience in human
resources spans thirty-one (31) years and she received her SPHR life
certification in 1991. Ms. Skiba serves on several committees within
the community in which she works. The Governor appointed her for a third
term on the Kentucky Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board.
Ms.
Skiba resides in Lexington with her husband, Wally. She has two daughters,
Allison and Shannon. Allison is a graduate of the University of Kentucky
with a degree in Marketing and Shannon is a senior at Centre College
in Danville, Kentucky majoring in Psychology.
Tracy Richardson, SPHR,
is theHuman Resources Manager with the Bluegrass Airport in Lexington,
KY. She holds a M.S.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from the University
of Kentucky. She earned her SPHR in December 2003. She currently serves
as the Secretary for the Bluegrass Society of Human Resource Management.
